New Chapter: Ascension

As of January 1st, 2010, Armada became Ascension. This announcement was posted in our private forums and in a PM to all of our members. A few people that use our site were never aware of this change and have wondered why activity has gone down.
The website we have been using since January is http://www.ascensionffxiv.com/

The guild rules and policies have been re-written to exemplify our standards of quality, professionalism, and exclusiveness.
Ascension has much more detailed application process and much higher standards. Our policies are well stated to all applicants and it is expected that you act in a professional manner in all situations and you have a minimum event participation rate of 75%+.

We are starting off the new year with a new captain and a new focus on maturity, loyalty, dedication, and professionalism. All members of the community that are interested in Armada will need to prove themselves before gaining access to our private forums. Dishonesty and immaturity are not tolerated here and is the reason for our recent membership alterations. We are a professional guild and our members are our representatives to the Final Fantasy XIV community. All of our current members know this and act professionally when communicating outside of our forums. We won't accept any new additions without knowing you can act professionally in any situation.

As of today we are modifying our application process. We are no longer accepting new official members unless they completely embody our beliefs and are a valuable asset to Armada. However, we will be altering our current membership application and making it our basic forum access application. This means that if you are interested in joining Armada, you must now apply for forum access. Upon approval, we will give you the trial rank of 'ensign' and will enable you to post in our private forums. All members of the community may post in the public forums regardless of if they have made an application or if it has been accepted or denied.
This means we are no longer in "Open Recruitment" as members won't be automatically given a trial membership. We are now in "Trial Recruitment" where we are looking for and very open to trial members but have stopped membership promotions. After you make an application for ensign you should be accepted, denied, or deferred within three days.

We are still less than a month old but exponentially the most active Final Fantasy XIV guild community. Tonight we will hit 5,000 posts yet we only had 7 official members and officers until today. I am very impressed with the high level of proven leadership experience and proven end-game experience of our applicants and am promoting more people than I would like to. But, I can't deny very good applicants, so I would like to welcome these extraordinary individuals to our membership ranks:

Arcano has been promoted from Captain to VICE-ADMIRAL.



Today will be one of the more eventful promotion days compared to future months. In addition to the new Lieutenant Junior Grades and a new Vice-Admiral, EvraeLeonis has been promoted to Captain of Division 6 and will be replacing Arcano as a Captain. Congratulations Evrae!

In addition, as of today we have 6 new Membership Only forums.
